Our department of Radio-diagnosis was started in the academic year 2008-2009. The department comprises of expertise Radiologists in every diagnostic modality. The faculties have pursued higher degrees and have special interest in sub specialty. Many of them are guest speakers in various regional and national conferences due to their academic eminence and well known in the national circle. The department of Radio-diagnosis, CMCH performs various academic activities like presentations, publications, organising conference / workshops for education. The department involves in excellent patient care activities with a dedicated team of radiologists, interventionists, technologists and allied health staffs; offering various diagnostic services through wide array of imaging modalities. The department offers 24 hours service on all days at low cost for the patients and at concessional rate for all the staff members. Academic interest cases are done at free of cost for the benefit of the students.

We the department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences are fully equipped with the latest state of art equipment in rendering services to patients and research activities which includes ultrasound imaging (3D&4D with duplex Doppler and elastography) cross-sectional imaging (Multislice CT & 1.5 Tesla MRI), Fluoroscopy, Mammography, and digital radiography.
Our Faculties include 1 Associate Professor, 2 Assistant Professors and 4 Senior residents who are qualified and well trained in reporting all modalities and performing CT, MR Angiography, non-vascular interventional procedures.
Regular lecture classes for 6th and 7th-semester MBBS students are taken every Saturdays. Clinical postings are for 15 days in 6th and 7th semester to observe the practical aspects of radiology and radiation safety.
Interns are given hands-on training in ultrasound examination during their 1-week posting.
Regular clinical postings for anatomy 2nd-year postgraduate students for a period of 6 weeks.
We have conducted CME on radiological emergencies in November 2016 with external experts for undergraduate students and interns and was given hands-on training in Focused Abdominal Sonography in Trauma (FAST) and Neurosonography.
We are planning to acquire Picture archiving and communication system (PACS) in process of moving towards filmless radiology.
